Is it really necessary to tell people that birth control pills/patches/injections don’t prevent HIV/AIDS/STD’s? Let’s see… it’s a pill/patch/injection that doesn’t cover anything up (like a condom does)… does it really take any more than common sense to see that this won’t prevent STD’s? To me, this is much like the warning on chainsaws that say “Don’t stop the blade with your hand”… common sense.

This should clear it all up for you:

(the whole site is, ehhh, good for that kinda thing
You’ll be surprised how much young people don’t know about this kind of things.
A friend of mine found out she was pregnant. She was in shock! She said there was no way it could happen. Me and some other friends said why. She says she used jelly as prtection. We said what kind. She said grape…
We were 15 at the time. She was 18. Don’t be to surpried. I don’t really think it’s common sense (OK maybe a little bit on the jelly part). It’s just that you have to inform people. A Chainsaw yes very much common sense. But if you talk to someone who has no idea what STDs are well then they dont know how to prevent them. Sorry for the rant.
Common sense is gone, mainly due to idiotic trials. People manage to sue whenever they’re doing stupid shit, and win whenever there wasn’t a warning present. For example "do not eat; do not cut dirty spots" on trousers, or "do not leave the wheel while driving" in camping-cars.
I’d certainly hope it’s not necessary to mention. But most people are totally stupid and have the inability to think logically for themselves. Hence the reason advertisers continually point out the obvious.
