I want to let everyone know that I’m not a war for oil, moveon.org, or Bush==Hitler person. I voted for Bush in 2000 and 2004. I supported the Bush administration’s decision to go into Afghanistan to fight Al-Qaeda. I even bought the need to go into Iraq. But I’m also a person who believes that if you make a mistake, you don’t cover it up: you own up. I believe that when an someone abuses the power they have been given, they need to be held accountable. I urge you to read the articles of impeachment and watch the clips and decide for yourself.

I’ve also tried to stay out of the political posting this season, but I thought I’d post this. The mainstream media has done an excellent job of squelching a fine candidate: Ron Paul. Yes, he has very libertarian stands and that’s what appeals to me: he believes that the federal government should only take care of what is outlined in the constitution. It seems like his message is resonating with our troops (warning: Flash content follows… I’m not a big fan of proprietary technology, but I feel like this needs to be spread):

Clarification:
I find this funny because of the hypocricy of people that tear into one side and not the other. I don’t find the cartoons funny at all. Maybe I should have said “ironic” or something else.

Regarding the article from the Mirror, it makes a reference to Condoleeza being a “monkey” at the beginning of the article. Last time I checked, most African-Americans don’t like that.

I would urge you to send Representative Dennis Hastert, Representative Tom DeLay, Senator Bill Frist, your congressperson and senator a message letting them know you want action on this issue. For those of you that have more time on your hands and live in the D.C. area, there is a die-in being held in Lafayette Park tomorrow (July 22) to raise awareness about the atrocities that are happening in Sudan.

I can’t think of a more apalling thing to happen during a time of war. Yet during all of this evidence against American troops, another American hostage was taken. I also have my own cartoon.

Another shocking atrocity was brought to my attention today: Sudan, a nation that has not abolished slavery, has recently been appointed to the UN Human Rights Commission. Nothing says Human Rights like government sponsored ethnic cleansing. To express disgust of this (since the media doesn’t seem to want to call for the head of the Sudanese defense secretary), go here.

In Coaster news: nothing substantial was done this week since my fiancee was in town and we had wedding plans to work on. Coaster development will resume this week by getting it to actually do something :) . Hopefully I can get it to eject discs this week.
